Sustainable development in the design of Maison Margiela
This is an exhibition of Maison Margiela from March to April 2022 in Fitzroy Melbourne. The sustainable development and recycling issues are considered and embodied in the design of Maison Margiela. In order to solve production waste and pollution in the fashion industry, Margiela’s clothes materials are from the secondary market. Such as plastics, old clothes, adhesive tapes, and even hair were recycled by Margiela and used in their design.
 They aim to deconstruction and use secondary material in design. The customers purchased their products means donating to the environmental protection in the fashion industry.

In addition, the designer of Coperni adopts the glass to make a fashion bag so that the use of leather is avoided. Nowadays, more and more fashion brands pay attention to sustainability and recycling issues.

This store is located in Fitzroy Melbourne and aims to advocate for sustainable and environmental protection in the fashion industry. They hold a big discount of 50% each Friday for the clothes that are made by people with disabilities. Furthermore, the store claims that all color dyes they used are natural colors. The tie-dye process they used will not pollute the water as well. Veromca is an environmentalist, and she came to this store to helping to advocate for and sell these clothes. The store has opened several branches in Sydney, and Canberra to broadcast sustainable ideas.
